Buffalo Tofu Quinoa Salad

This easy dish would be amazing served over greens, in a wrap or just as is. It is so delicious!


  • 1/2 cup uncooked quinoa
  • 1 tbsp safflower oil
  • 1 block firm or extra firm tofu (pressed and cut into cubes)
  • 1 cup favorite wing sauce
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped red pepper

Cook quinoa according to package directions, set aside.

In a pan on medium-low heat add oil and cubed, pressed tofu. Cook until browned on both sides. Cool and drain on a paper towel lined plate. Pat dry. In a small bowl add tofu and wing sauce. Coat evenly. In a large serving bowl layer quinoa, celery, peppers and top with buffalo tofu. Season with salt and pepper. Enjoy!

  1. this is probably such an annoying questions, but how would you make this doable for a BBQ? I am a beginner cook to begin with – so do i just quadruple everything? How many does this serve? it seems large.

  2. HI Jessica! Not annoying AT ALL..so glad you asked! We love to hear that people have found and are enjoying Lawsonwellness,
    So, if you want to cook the tofu on the grill for the BBQ that is absolutely an option. I tend to cook mine on the stove top in a pan because tofu does have a tendency to stick to the grill.     This salad was large. We had it as a full meal, instead of a side and it served up generous portions to four hungry adults. I would say as a side you are a looking at 6-8 servings. Let me know how it comes out and what you think…it is one of my faves! -Heather :)
